Cooking fresh, frozen pasta requires a little more effort than cooking ordinary dried pasta. For that reason, we have prepared a few tips.
- Do not defrost the pasta. Put the pasta straight from the freezer into the pot with plenty of boiling salted water.
- Cook according to the time recommended on the package – from 2 to 9 minutes, depending on the type of pasta.
- Once cooked, al dente pasta must be drained. Do not commit to much cold water.
- Serve hot.
Water: pasta will not stick together, if you add at least one liter of water for every 100 grams of pasta.
Salt: add 1 tablespoon of salt per approx. 4.5 liters of water.
If the frozen pasta sticks together, do not to split it manually – the pasta will split itself under the influence of hot salty water.
